1.1. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Patient Journey Medical Tourism Platform ("Platform"). By accessing, using, or registering with the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.2. Patient Journey ("We", "Us", or "Our") is a medical tourism platform that connects patients seeking medical treatment abroad with healthcare providers, hospitals, clinics, and other medical service providers ("Providers").
1.3. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
2.1. To access certain features and services on the Platform, you may be required to register and create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during the registration process.
2.2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
Use of the Platform
3.1. You agree to use the Platform for lawful purposes only and in accordance with these Terms.
3.2. You may not use the Platform in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Platform or interfere with any other party's use of the Platform.
Services and Provider Selection
4.1. We provide a platform for you to search for and connect with Providers. We do not provide medical services, and we are not responsible for the quality or accuracy of any medical services provided by the Providers.
4.2. You are responsible for selecting the appropriate Provider for your medical needs. We do not endorse, recommend, or guarantee the quality, suitability, or availability of any Provider. However, every healthcare provider we connect you with is certified by PROMED.
ProMed is Costa Rica's health chamber, created exclusively to ensure that international patients visiting Costa Rica receive consistent, high-quality medical and dental services from its members. Patient Journey ONLY offers healthcare providers who carry the ProMed seal of approval.
5.1. You are responsible for all fees, costs, and expenses related to your use of the Platform and any medical services you obtain through the Platform. This may include fees charged by Providers, travel expenses, and any other costs associated with your medical tourism journey.
Refund Policy for medical services.
6.1. Refunds for medical services obtained through the Platform will be subject to the individual refund policies of the respective Providers. We encourage you to review the refund policy of the Provider before making any payment or scheduling any medical services.
6.2. In the event of a dispute between you and a Provider regarding a refund, we may, at our discretion, attempt to mediate the dispute but are under no obligation to do so. We are not responsible for issuing refunds on behalf of Providers.
Refund Policy for video conference consultations
6.1.A This fee is not refundable, but it is fully applicable to the procedure you’re looking for in case you decide to move forward.
6.1.B Your video consultation can be rescheduled to a future date and time in case something happens that prevents you from participating at the time you chose. Rescheduling must be done 24 hours in advance or the consultation fee will be forfeited.
Limitation of Liability
7.1. In no event shall Patient Journey, its affiliates, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform or any medical services obtained through the Platform.
8.1. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Patient Journey and its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform or any medical services obtained through the Platform.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
9.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Patient Journey is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
9.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the jurisdiction in which Patient Journey is registered.
